Felt cloche hatFrom TRAMPmillinery
All of her cloches are designed, traditionally hand blocked, cut and formed by my myself. Each one is also one of a kind and exclusively yours. They are made from 100% wool felt, therefore very warm. This one has a vintage millinery embellishment on the side and matching machine stitching.
A little History of the Cloche
The cloche was fashionable from 1908 to 1933, it was the iconic hat of the twenties. Cloche hats were usually made of felt so that they conformed to the head. Traditionally, the hat was designed to be worn low on the forehead, with the wearer's eyes only slightly below the brim, however, by 1928/29, it became fashionable to turn the brims on cloche hats upwards.
The cloche is a simple, elegant design, which looks wonderful on most women. My designs take inspiration from many sources; film, fashion history, nature and architecture, a lot of history and culture for one little hat. This collection is a modern remake of a classic style.
